I have to blame the league on this one, because of all the pre game hype of Sheed playing. ESPN was promoting it hard and Brown even said at the press conference that Sheed would play. Why did it take all the way till halftime for the league to say something. I would bet that the Pistons thought they had completed everything properly and thought everything was all set. It's not in the Pistons interest to have a protested game or bad publicity.
I blame the league for this one, because they should have notified the Pistons before hand. They dropped the ball and now want to shift blame, on the Pistons, by imposing a fine on them. In the public's eye, it will look like the Pistons are at fault, because they paid the fine, but in reality. The NBA dropped the ball and were not on top of things. Better to blame someone else then yourself should be the NBAs motto.
