Clip'nshow- Brand had a fine game and easily could have hit the shot at the end. But the best "go to " guys have radical offensive ability and high confidence at the most difficult of situations. And they are easily able to create their own shot .That's not Brand.
Iverson, an unbelievable offensive talent, struggles at crunch time because he is small and they double team him, and fouls are often overlooked. That is just the NBA.
If you like the Clippers, just be happy they seem to be moving away from the track meet mentality. Having Olo and Brand, and a promising rookie in Ely , with a real point guard, gives the non fast break game a chance to score.
If I was their coach, I'd be drilling their young selves endlessly. Young players can recover physically very quickly, but need endless repetition on the wiley ways of NBA winning style play. They need boot camp mental toughness. The talent level is certainly playoff + level. Do they understand how to get there?
