LOL! If Nelson is good, Howard is ROY, and Grant Hill is as good as he used to be (26 ppg, 6 rpg, 6 apg) they will win their division. Of course, nothing like this will happen, but the point is you hate the Magic if you think that a team with Francis, Mobley, the old Hill, and the ROY would barely make the playoffs in the east.
And Ballyhoo, Magic fans certainly weren't the only ones predicting good things for the Magic. As I recall, it was a near consensus on this board that the Magic would not only be in the playoffs but they would be a top team in the east. A lot of things went wrong with that team that nobody could have anticipated, but that's the way it is with every team in the NBA. Every team is an incident or two from being lottery-bound. That's why they play the games.
