Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a team with so many talented players that you don't want to have on your team as the current Wizards. Trade for Glenn Robinson or Ricky Davis and you guys will be set. The Wizards have 3 guys capable of scoring 20 ppg consistently, possibly even 4. The problem is that none of those guys are ever on good basketball teams, the exception being Antawn Jamison, who was on the bench for the playoff team he was on last season. The guys on the Wizards are good individual players(not great) but horrible team players. On paper, they look like an OK team, but none of them can play defense(with the exception of Kwame, a decent low post defender) and all of them are going to want to be the man, and the number one scoring option. The Wizards just aren't going to work out as a cohesive unit, plain and simple.

Arenas has been a starter for two years, and had the Wizards in the playoffs before he got injured. It's way too early to say he hasn't been on a winning team. That Golden State team two years ago would of made the playoffs easily in the East. For Jamison, I wouldn't say that's a bad thing either because it's so hard to make the playoffs in the West. Ray Allen will probably never make the playoffs in his career in Seattle, but he's still a good player. Francis just last year made the playoffs for the first time at the age of 27? I think they'll bring in some defensive veterans before the season starts, and Arenas/Hughes/Jamison are all good friends so I don't see why their would be any chemistry problems. Hughes has shown he can be a roleplayer, as has Jamison, the offense will probably run through Arenas/Jamison/Kwame.
