Actually, in Iverson's case, being a step or two slower could make him half the player he was. The majority of AI's game depends on his quickness. It is quite obvious from watching USA ball that he has certainly lost a good amount of the speed he once had.

I just don't get why everyone is so high on Philly all of a sudden. They were a bad team last year, and I expect them to be a bad team this year. Iguodala will probably take at least 2 years to develop into a solid contributor for them.

I'm sorry if I am in the minority, but when I hear the names Glenn Robinson, Kenny Thomas, Willie Green, and so on, let's just say I don't exactly get a hard on like it seems everyone else does.
If all he depended on was his speed then Tyrone Lue, Troy Hudson, Speedy Claxton are all on the same level as AI. AI being step slower is still faster than most the guys in the league. Also with him playing point he has to get the team in the offense involved, hes not going to be running up and down the court and forgetting about everybody. Nice try trying to use the Olympics as a basis on this upcoming season. The team was bad last year why? Iverson was hurt, Glenn RObinson was hurt, the entire team was hurt so its not like they were just bad because they couldnt win. Everyone of importance was out for a stretch last season
