As to the deal itself, I have to agree that I wouldn't be enthused by it. I do believe that Kidd is the best PG in the NBA...but I also believe that Cassell might be the best PG in the NBA for our team. The offense we run is based off mid-range/distance jump shooting, and while Sam and Wally thrive at that I think J-Kidd would be weaker there. He also wouldn't be able to run the pick-and-roll with KG like Sam. He'd be the better defender by far, and the team would be incredibly fun to watch with him and KG distributing the rock, but I'm a bit loyal to Sam at this point.
By the way,this is my first post here. Just found out about this place a few days ago, and I look forward to having another place to talk Wolves hoops...
