STOMP--I hadn't factored in Kidd's dark personal side to my analysis, obviously. The news reports you posted make him sound like a devilish character, alright. Yet is he any worse than Zach Randolph, whom the Blazers appear ready to make a long-term committment to?
As much as I hate bad behavior by players, I'm willing to give a guy a second chance if he seems to have cleaned up his act. Kidd, though he has had trouble in the past, seems to have had a pretty good record recently. And, just for the record, if you eliminate players who have gotten into disputes with their wives from any trade considerations, you will eliminate most of the guys in the NBA, not to mention the world.
