With all of this amazing young talent in the ACC, it is easy to look over some of the lesser known players in the league. One in particular is Eric Williams of Wake Forest.
The 6-10 rookie had to play well due to the graduation of Darius Songalia and Antawn Scott from the frontline. Williams has stepped into the starting role and producing quite nicely, averaging 12.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. And shooting 60.9% from the floor.
Coming into the season, many thought he would be too big to contribute right away. But the McDonalds' All American has proven that he is committed to the Deacons and winning. He shed the extra L-Bs and looks stronger.
Williams is a good reason why Skip Prosser's club is 8-0 right now. As is freshman PG Justin Gray. He is averaging 10.9 points and 4.6 assists a contest.
