NBA Draft.net's Sixers Preview

2004-05 Projected Record: 39-43

How much of a difference can Jim O’Brien make? The former Celtics coach was brought in to help the Sixers rededicate themselves defensively, and to help get Iverson to finally become a team leader.
After a summer with the U.S. Olympic team and Larry Brown, Iverson seems to have finally become the bonafide team leader Phily has wanted him to be.
Although, with Eric Snow now in Cleveland, he may have to take on the PG role he failed at his first few seasons in the NBA.
Aaron McKie and Kevin Ollie can help with PG duties, but this team will only go as far as Iverson takes them. The diminutive scorer averaged over 26 points, and while still passing out more assists per game than any season since his rookie year, so he may be ready for a return to the point.
There's a new AI in town, Andre Iguadola, and he should be the perfect complement to Iverson. He was drafted 9th out of Arizona, and has already cracked the starting lineup. Expect the ultra-athletic Iguadola to make an impact immediately either as a starter or getting big minutes off the bench.
