I'm not sure who or what we could get for Etan.
He's kind of a tweener in trade value. On one hand, he can play the 4 or 5, which makes him valuable, but on the other hand, he's pretty limited and I don't think he'll get a lot better. I bet most every team in the league would give up something for him, but I would also guess that most teams wouldn't trade a lot for a guy who might not have a huge amount of upside (after four years of college, 1 year on IR, and 1 year and a half in the league). I think Etan could be a great third guy in a very good frontcourt rotation, or a starter if paired with the right running mate.
Some teams that might have a real interest:
The Knicks - Always looking for size. But what do they have to offer in return? A bunch of old, overpaid guys? No thanks. Unless we can somehow get them to part with Kurt Thomas for peanuts, I don't see it.
The Magic - We help them too much, and they might push us out of the playoffs. They help us too much, and we push them out. Don't see it happening.
The Lakers - Apparently we were interested in Devean George. If the Lakers get really desperate could we make a George, Samaki, and Kareem Rush for Jahidi, Lue, and Etan trade?
C - Haywood, Samaki
PF - Laettner, Kwame, Oakley, Cardinal (IR)
SF - Stack, George, Simmons, Jeffries (IR)
SG - MJ, Russell, Rush (IR)
PG - Hughes, Dixon
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of George or Rush, but lots of people seem to think they're pretty good.
