Is O'Brien sabotaging the little trade value Big Dog has?

Quote:
Glenn Robinson worked out before the game, but remained on the injured list after O'Brien said he had offered the 11th-year veteran the starting power forward job in place of Kenny Thomas. O'Brien said Robinson told him he had two "very sore ankles and a very sore elbow." O'Brien also said those physical problems were part of why "he didn't get the starting nod" at small forward at the start of the season.

"He isn't the type of guy that can move and get the lift for his jump shot that he has had in the past," O'Brien said. "How long he's going to be out, I don't know. And I don't know if that same opportunity [to start] is going to be available when he is healthy."

Robinson, who has yet to play this season, was not scheduled to be with the team tonight in Orlando, as it begins a five-game trip.

Maybe I'm being picky, but if you're trying to trade someone do you want to come out and admit he's damaged goods? When I read that, it left me scratching my head to say the least, I thought things like that were the last thing a person was supposed to bring up.

Also, I read elsewhere that O'Brien came up to Big Dog and told him if he wanted to play he could play PF. Big Dog according to O'Brien cited the injuries and said he wasn't in shape to play. That said, I'm glad Josh Davis is filling in at PF, because Big Dog at PF would've been atrocious.
