In the perfect world, sure I'd want to win him a championship in Philly. In reality the team won't be able to build the proper team around him to get anywhere close to the championship. I think if we owe him anything, we owe him a chance to be successful, and running the gamut of slapping a team around him hasn't been successful since the core of the 2000-01 Eastern Champs team was ripped apart.
A lot of people probably won't agree with my point of view, but I've always felt that the front of the jersey is more important than the back, and while Allen Iverson has been great for this team and his number will eventually be retired.. but I look at it this way, if Moses Malone was traded not too long after taking the Sixers to the peak of the mountain top, I don't see why Iverson can't.
