LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Charles Lee scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Bucknell to a 70-34 victory over Lafayette in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament on Friday.
Abe Badmus had 13 points and Kevin Bettencourt added nine for Bucknell, which scored the first nine points of the game and led 34-16 at the half. The Bison shot almost 40 percent (25-of-63) overall, including 10 of 28 3-pointers, and made 10 of 15 free throws.
Jamaal Douglas had 12 points, 10 of them in the first half, for Lafayette, which scored the first five points of the second half to close the gap to 13 points. Bucknell extended the margin again with six 3-pointers among 13 second-half baskets.
Lafayette, which ended the season 9-19, shot only 26 percent from the field, including only two of 16 three-point attempts, and had only 28 rebounds to Bucknell's 46. The Leopards' 34 points were the fewest in Patriot League Tournament history.
Bucknell plays American, which prevailed over Navy 85-83 in overtime, on Sunday.
