Re: It's June 1st - Who's your pick?

I would love to see us trade down and get the Rebounding tough 6'10 dont give an inch in the post Ronny Turiaf. He seems to be exactly what the nets need. In one word i'd describe him as an enforcer. I think he could almost immediatly start for us aswell. I think we could trade down pretty easily aswell because of the depth in this draft and get a high second round pick (then get salim). Or a good quality backup. Turiaf i think can be the defensive player of the year in his career averaging somewhere around the lines of 9 ppg 11 rpg 2 bpg and locking down there best player. He would make the Tim Duncans of the game work on the offensive end and be getting offensive rebounds and tipping in kidd/carter/rj's missed shots making there bigs have to worry about boxing out every time.

If we do not trade down and Chris Taft is avalaible i think u have to draft him. He's 6'10, an incredible athelete, and is Jacked. I think the reason he did not do as well in Pitt is because he lacks maturity and can't yet handle being the #1 scoring option. But as a Net we would use him as a 5th option. He's very atheletic can do wonders in the break, and i dont see Kidd letting Taft letting his potenital go to waste. He may not be a starter by the begining of the season but by the midway point i can see him being a 12/9 1.5 bpg type of guy.
