Re: Mariotti: Skiles Makes Boss Blink

well I apreciate Jays sentiments, because i agree with all of them

on the specifics tho, nobody "won"
both sides compromised. Met in the middle.

Scott got the guarntees he wanted at a fair price, and got rid of outragous clauses like if fired, he'sd get paid over 20 years

and the Chairman got the price that he was comfortable with. A good coach taboot

As far as entertainment for us wretched bystanders goes...the now hot Mariotti-Smith war is as good as it gets
Quote:
Glass spent the last few days portraying J.R. as a tyrant, even accusing him of sending an ink-stained "henchman'' after Skiles with a rip-job column in the sleepy newspaper
the part about ink stains, rip jobs, and sleepy newspaper is all Jays
who revels in re-calling Sam Smith a "henchman"

good God I LOVE this kind of stuff!

Even those who detest Skiles admit he has something others do not: "When it comes to X's and O's," Jason Kidd said recently, "Skiles is probably one of the best I've ever met."
