very good question, i'm a big clipper fan and i can say that i totally support signing wells. although i think the character of the current clippers roster would be able to handle wells even if he was whining. but i think it's more a case of he's what's left available.

i wish we hadn't started looking at him so early though and focused more on some of the other forwards besides shareef (who was never gonna sign with us anyways). he's an ok option at this point, but i can't say i'd be nearly as happy adding him as i was about mobley.
