Harrington is not a 4 in a 3's body. He is a very capable SF in the Williamson mold. He would be an excellent change of pace from Prince off the bench. As an added plus he is a better defender then Williamson ever was. He is capable of defending the 2,3 and 4 positions at above average success.

His toughness and enthusiasm would be a great intangible coming off the Pistons bench.

-------

With him playing at the 3 teams that play small players on the wing (Miami, SA) would have fits trying to match up with him (something that Williamson brought that many overlooked).

Bowen would not be able to concentrate on Rip and/ or Billups because that would mean that Harrington would be destroying Ginobili in the post. His presence would force the opposition (SA in particular) to make some tough decisions.

Decisions like:

- Play Bowen on him (which is a tough cover even for Bowen) and allow Rip to operate against Ginobili.

- Sit Bowen or Ginobili and play Horry extended minutes at SF (to defend him).

...This type of distortion that Harrington would provide is just too good to pass up (IMO). If Dumars were to pass such an acquisition up I would seriously begin to question his GM abilities.

--------

As a side note SA is also interested in Harrington for Rasho. If they make that happen next season’s championship is a rap.
So your comparing Harrington to Corliss? And Corliss has been the perfect example of a 4 in a 3s body his whole career....
