Smith also got it wrong it the article - Best isn't from Detroit, but Massachusetts - he and Jalen played together w/ the Pacers...

Bringin' him over isn't the best idea, especially when you're tryin' to wean the team away from Jalen's behind-the-public-persona maneuvrin's - why abet Jalen in this by importin' a cohort of his, who also shares much of the same orientation/mentality when it comes to individual stats versus good of the team...

I'd rather head into the season w/ Alston (for now), Cook, and Calderon - see how this trio fares before explorin' other choices - @ that juncture, teams should already have shored up their rosters by and large, and the pool of available PGs will be clearly defined...

Best is much like fellow Yellowjackets Kenny Anderson and Starbury in that he's a shootin' guard in a PG's body 'cause their handle isn't pass first...

That is an important point to remember. Anyone who says they know for sure that Villanueva is going to be a horrible pro, or a great pro, is lying, quite frankly. It's impossible to know.

"The way Tim Duncan plays and the way he is off the court is what any mother or father would love. It doesn't sell in this society of quick gratification, titillation, instant thrills and chills, and that's not what Tim Duncan is."
