A perimeter defender with a lot of blocks is only gambling if he leaves his feet to make the block. As any good coach would tell you, a great block is one in which the defender never has to jump. A guy like Ak47 or Prince can accumlate blocks without gambling due to their size and length. Which are two things any good defender should have.
