Funny how people (and I'm guilty of this as much as the next person) will utter definitive statements even before Villaneuva's rookie season starts...

Danny Manning, Ed O'Bannon, Joe Forte, etc. - all collegians much more heralded than Villaneuva... And who received more press than Dwayne Wade... W/ the possible exception of an average, but unspectacular NBA career from Manning, Wade has accomplished more than those 3 already... Not sayin' that Charlie's at Wade's talent level, but let play commence - it's the true litmus test, not the rhetoric you nor I engage in to no end...

That is an important point to remember. Anyone who says they know for sure that Villanueva is going to be a horrible pro, or a great pro, is lying, quite frankly. It's impossible to know.

"The way Tim Duncan plays and the way he is off the court is what any mother or father would love. It doesn't sell in this society of quick gratification, titillation, instant thrills and chills, and that's not what Tim Duncan is."
