Most Grizz fans would agree with you. Neither one of the two players penetrates much. They're both streaky shooters (although Stoudamire is an overall better shooter from three and at the line). They have respectable assist numbers and A:TO ratios. Neither are great defenders.
Stoudamire's not as flashy, which hurts him image with the mainstream public. But he's a better overall basketball player, whether it be shooting, rebounding, scoring and team play. And we do get a fresh start with a guy who's more likely to buy into the system.
And, honestly, how does Utah have more talent than Memphis?
