You are right but the Pistons are over the cap and they will be for quite some time with big contracts like Rasheed, Rip, Chauncey, Ben, and McDyess that there's no difference cap wise between 5/45 and 5/50, which is the difference. If the Pistons were under the cap there would be a difference, but this small difference won't affect anything this summer as far as exceptions go...
They will get something done.
