yah, because if a player doesn't look great from the start, he'll never be anything..

Not one of these guys has had a big time game that you would hope to see after 30 games. I know they are young but cmon.....theres no glimpses at all to let us think any of these guys will be special or even starters.
|
as usual, you're making statements that are not really based on logic.
Look at Torontos first 30 games his rookie year (they were 4-26 btw). He had 12 DNP (including a stint on IR). He scored 0 6 times, and averaged 4.7 ppg.
I guess he's turned out ok. It's a shame no one back then was impatient and figured that if after 30 games into his career he hadn't already had a "game" and made such silly assertions.
Actually, I'm pretty sure impatient Raptor fans did.

You know what young talent is....look at Josh Howard and Marquis Daniels last night. Both those guys were pretty solid their first years in the league puting up decent numbers.

They also were older, and played with much better talent. That hides a lot of your issues.

our so called young guys DO NOTHING. Boston and New york have young emerging players like Jefferson, Frye, West, Lee, and so on.
|
you mean 4.4 ppg David Lee? Or averaging about the same as Telfair was starting West?
Or not doing super great Jefferson (who if you compare to Frye, is not doing a lot)?
try floating in some actual facts and solid arguments..

Im sorry but I DO NOT see anything from of our young guys. The games we have won are becasue of vet play.
|
vet play? The only players who are "vets" who are playing a lot of minutes are Ruben and Theo. The rest aren't old vets, unless you want to change the criteria for what a "vet" is. In that case, Travis is a vet (in his 3rd year)..

What im saying is, this so called youth movement wont last long cause Nate knows that MOST of the young guys are very average players who are not the future of this team.
|
catch a clue. Because a player doesn't perform to standards right off the bat, doesn't mean ****. Not only that, a lot of the players that you compare them to, DON'T put up significantly better #'s (if at all)..

Lets look at each.......
1. Outlaw....what has he done when out there to get more chances. great leaping ability but that doesnt win games by touching backboards.
|
I agree on Outlaw.

2. Monia....thank god he doesnt play cause it wasnt pretty.
|
we should trade him. i mean, if he's not already dominating the game, he's a waste.

3. Victor.....maybe a good backup but nowhere near a starter. Your SF has to score and thats something Victor does not do.
|
we should trade him. i mean, if he's not already dominating the game, he's a waste.

4. HA...please no jokes right now.
|
we should trade him. i mean, if he's not already dominating the game, he's a waste.

5. Webster.....DISSAPOINTMENT. HOw about the #6 overall pick at least hitting a jumper when open? How about the 36 overall pick knowing how to dribble through traffic? backup at best......if he can ever hit a shot.
|
see my mgcrady comments. I seriously question if you actually watch games or if you just look at stats.

6. Telfair....too small and isnt a Nate type point guard. He might be a spark off the bench in years to come but isnt a starter in the NBA. His jumpoer has regressed as well as his defense.
|
this proves it.

7. Jack...cant score but might have had the best season among all our young guys. Decent passer and seems like he has the game in his control but no threat to score and isnt an assist wizard so hes basically not that valuable unless hes a backup. Not impessed at all.
So where should i be excited?
