He's a helluva rebounder from the 3, can hit the three-pointer (over 40% since being a starter I think), and causes some big mismatches because of his size.

Graham and our first for Magloire would be a mistake. Magloire would be a good fit on this team, not cause he's a hometown boy, but because of his tough game. However, he's seeking a max contract next year and to me that seems ridiculous. Also, we have cap space this year to pick up a guy like Nene, Przy, or Nazr... not as good but a lot cheaper and wouldn't cost us any players or picks.

I haven't been impressed with Graham at all, but trading him when he's done nothing really would be a bad idea. Everyone is saying give him time, but when you draft a senior like him, you expect him to ball right away. That's why he was thrown into the starting line-up. He was supposed to be a stopper but hasn't been anywhere close. He's got no handles, an average J, kinda slow (I know he can sprint but watch him play) and mechanical, and doesn't attack the rim like he has the ability to. Lots of people here are defending him, which is typically since any fan of a certain team usually defends their players (everyone here did it for Araujo, admit it.. Brad Miller, give him more time, etc.), but he has shown only role player-type potential thus far. As I said before, you draft a senior and he better step up right away. You draft a 'defensive stopper' and he better be good at his job. Joey, unfortunately, hasn't done either.
You're right about Villanueva and about the Magloire trade, but I have to disagree about Graham. He hasn't shown much, but I believe with all the athletic tools he has (to go along with a reliable jumper), all he needs to improve is his ballhandling to become a solid NBA scoring threat. I know he's already 23 or 24, but give him some more time to develop - he went from playing the 4 in college to playing the 2/3 in the NBA and that's a big transition, especially when you consider the speed of the NBA game compared to college. Conclusion: Joey G won't be a star, but he can be a very dangerous roleplayer in a year or two; maybe about 16/7 on 50% shooting with good D, not to mention some dunks that will fire up the crowd big time.
