Did you write that? Nash & Pritchard satting they need some veterans doesn't sound any different from the crap they said the last two years...

and my comment to you and to others who mention trading the pick...is again...WHO do you think POR is going to get for the pick? b\c I think some of you are living in fantasyland when some of you start mentioning players like Garnett...

and as I previously mentioned here, I think dealing for a 30yr old Pierce isn't a much wiser decison, given his age, and his aversion to coming here...yeah he is going to be REAL happy once he gets here....

Sorry I just don't see any young players of note, that POR could trade a #1 pick for...particularly in a draft w\o a consensus "franchise" player in it, and if there was\is then POR mgmt would be idiots to trade that pick away in the 1st place...
ok...care to find anywhere else then here where I said that. I don't recall ever saying anything about trading the pick until now. Also Check out the Garnett threads...I believe I said it was "impossible" to get him or something close to that.

Frankly I have no idea who we would/could get for the pick...as I said I have heard quite a bit of talk from the team management about "acquiring a veteran" and "not getting younger." That simply makes me think it's a possibility. You find a team with a disgruntled star who want's out and you might be able to swing a deal. I would rather have Rashard Lewis who is 26 for instance then any of the top 6 guys in this years draft.

Oh and by the way...Pierce doesn't even turn 29 until next October.
