I can see why there are at least some kind of restrictions on certain fish such as Pirhana.
Back in southern Oregon where i was raised there was a little pond nearby that kids swam in, fed the ducks, and fished for bass and bluegill. However, someone released their pet pirhanas into it and they took over. The place was shut down and the fish and wildlife had to kill off the pond to get the pirhanas out. Now, a few of those fish are stuffed and mounted at Wild Life Safari in Winston Oregon.

Just a little story.
