I agree that at times he has ADD with his writing, but as I recall some tracks he proved that he could hold a theme. I haven't listened to it in awhile, so I'm going to dust it off and go through it again.
I think the biggest difference between us, is while I value lyrics I also put high weight to the sound and flow of an album. When rating an album, it's very rare that I'm going to give an album high marks if I'm not feeling the production (the exception was S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M., and that's because I felt One.Be.Lo's performance was lyrically that strong).
For me it has to all meet somewhere in the middle, but I can usually give more leeway to an album with weak lyrics and strong production than vice versa (though I didn't like Young Jeezy or Game's album, but I loved Slum Village's Fantastic Vol. 2).
