Jordan was huge.
No matter how big Kobe gets, if he breaks every record and wins three more championships, he won't ever be as big as Jordan was. It was something about the timing. LeBron & Carmelo, Martell... they want to be huge stars and have rings, but the way MJ captivated the world is unrepeatable in basketball.
Still, Sam Bowie and Craig Ehlo should just be happy they had the opportunity.
People who bring up Bowie/Jordan all the time as a serious knock on the Blazers just don't have anything smarter to say. It can be a "yeah, well your team picked Bowie" ribbing, but the playoff appearances streak and even the one championship are decent comebacks. Especially if someone from SF is talking- we won more recently than they did.
