You'll find out when he is picked. If he goes in the 1st, there is enough dough. If he does slip, cash is the reason.

heard that myself. and when i did, i thought our interest in sergio was pretty transparent. can't put my finger on it, but the things that gherardini was saying- and the things he wasn't- were pretty revealing.
the fact that he mentioned a buyout that hadn't really been discussed beforehand (like tiago's, for example) really surprised me- it sounded less than sincere. iow, it sounded like maury
wanted sergio to slip, and so he was grasping for something to make it happen.
i could be way off here but man, i have no reason to perceive that interview on any bias. i haven't seen much but clips of rodriguez and, to be honest, haven't read much about him either. but after hearing that interview with maury, i just wouldn't be shocked if sergio slipped into the second (at which point we'd call pdx for 31- or take our chances with 35) or we simply found a way to draft him in the first outright (at 16, for example- 1 for 2 & 16? unlikely but not impossible, imo).
speculating like a king.
