Re: Various Cavs contracts: could we player with our expiring contracts?
If you have a glut of players in your stronger position (SF), it's better to get another one to help the void in a weakest position.
I mean, Dickau is also a third-stringer, like Newble. But you have Jackson and Pavlovic to backup LBJ and both can also backup SG, add Shannon Brown as a player that can also backup SG, so there is no need for Newble. But the PG rotation shares just Snow and Damon Jones (and the rookie Gibson, he is a PG, isn't it?). So there is a weak rotation, and Dickau can help more than Newble can, in this rotation.
I've suggested for Portland for the same reason. They have Jack, Blake, the spanish and even Roy will play PG in that team. So, they won't use Dickau. Newble may not be much used there, but at least he improves a position where the team need more, since they can use Newble as a defensive SG. (they just have Roy and Dixon as SG)
Just a lateral move, like I've said.
