I like Tim Thomas

I would be all over that, I like Tim Thomas, I think that since George Karl became coach in Milwaukee, that he just doesn't get along with him is all. If Portland obtained a good PG, they would be a much better team. Payton fits that mold, if even for a few years. Sometimes you have to take players for the few years you can have them, as long as it opens a window. As for who would play where, sometimes a coach just has to sit some players on the bench and accept the fact. Last but not least, Qyntel would be the 2nd string SF. That would give him some PT, much better then last year, and who knows, if he developes well, maybe he starts one day. If you look at Tim Thomas numbers you will note several things:

1) He shoots a good percentage both inside and outside the arc.
2) He is 6'10", which is good height for a SF.
3) He has never averaged over 30 minutes a game for his career. This means 10 plus minutes open up for Qyntel per game.
4) Tim Thomas came out of college as a freshman. So although he has been in the league 7 years, he is still young.
5) Tim Thomas has killed Portland over the years, maybe it is something about playing in the Rose Garden...

I give thumbs up to any trade that would bring GP and TT to Portland, especially if it includes Damon.
