I would think that free agents would want to come to Orlando just to play with T-MAc. He is the best attraction there (and there are quite a bit of great atttractions). For the most part, the restricted FA may need to be involved in a sign and trade deal so the former team could get something oin return. The Magic don't have anything to offer but Grant Hill
So let's narrow the list down. Salary-wise, the Magic are in a good position. T-Mac and Grant make about 13.5 a piece this year. Adding the other salaries makes it about 33 mill. They could sign some serious players with that room. Hopefully, they can get some injury exception with Grant's salary just in case he's washed up.
PG: Arenas. He's the best bet out of the PG. His agent claims it's gonna take more than 7 mil a year. Even with 8, the MAgic could still afford a little more help. BUT, his asking price still may be too high. See if you could sign him for 35 mil/5 yrs.
SG: I totally can see Jon Barry in Orlando for next to nothing money-wise. Use the MLE on him. Is Giricek still signed or is his contract up?
SF: Wouldn't worry about this position. T-Mac is a monster when he plays the 3.
PF: I like Drew. I say put all the efforts of free agency at the 1 and 5 spot.
C: Go for Kandi. He should be able to grab many boards for T-Mac and company. The Magic needs a center who won't be looking for his shot all the time. Try to sign him for 25 mill/ 5 yrs.
PG: Arenas
SG: Giricek
SF: T-Mac
PF: Drew
C: Kandi
This could be a championship team.
