First of all, what a boring, ugly game that was until the fourth quarter.
Great job by Rudy taking the shot at the end and getting it to go. Revenge for the Ricky Davis buzzer beater...and also Mike James from a few years back in a season-opener. I don't know if we game-planned that play around Gay, but I'm glad he took the shot instead of Mike.
Great job by Dahntay Jones. New season-high in points for him and was largely responsible for Paul Pierce's
nine turnovers. Halfway through the third, you could tell Pierce was just getting fed up. Is that five or six games in a row now where Dahntay's scored double figures? He's coming up pretty big in what's been his biggest prolonged opportunity in the NBA.
Great job by Lawrence Roberts. New career-high and also went 14-15 from the line. That's nice work from a career 65 percent free throw shooter.
Miller was mostly horrible until he started getting warm in the second half. Knocked down a couple nice transition threes and made a few plays for his teammates. Warrick had 12 points but was invisible for the most part.
I know each loss is one step closer to another potential superstar, but this one would have just really hurt to lose, especially after that Miami game just a few nights ago. Lost a 17-point lead in the fourth. Ugh. Stoudamire almost lost the game for us all by himself. Injured or not, that poor guy's finished.
