God-awful's a little exaggerated. But his defensive rebounding is fairly poor. He doesn't establish good rebounding position and hold it. But on the defensive end he's of more use flashing out on shooters anyway. You really need to match him up with a strong post defender and rebounder. His offensive rebounding isn't god-awful, though he won't be able to get way with his basket charging rebounding style in the pros (he'll pick up a lot of loose ball fouls that way). It's tough to keep him away from the rim, offensively, because he's so athletic that he's by his man before they know what he's doing. But he's still not an offensive asset yet. He's not quite the liability that he was, but his offense is not a whole lot better than Ben Wallce's at this point.
