artis certainly has an argument. he wasn't thought of in the same breath as walton, though. walton was argued by more than a few as the best basketball player in the world at the time. and one of the top 5 collegiate players ever.

zo had a 1st team all american, a 2nd team, and a 3rd team. he was injured his junior year, which impacted his play when he did play, and limited his games played, which is why he wasn't a 4 time all-american. laettner had a 1st and a 2nd team. zo had much higher expectations coming in (would've been a top pick out of h.s.), and his teams obviously didn't do nearly as well. leattner's career can best be described as storied, as opposed to great/dominant (although he was great his last 2 years).
