You didn't answer my question. It is no secret that Kidd can't guard quicker PGs. I would say only Devin Harris and Kirk Hinrich have the footspeed to stay in front of guards like TJ Ford, Tony Parker, Monte Ellis etc., and even then, the team as a whole needs to play great defense on these guys. You can't shut them down one-on-one.
Kidd has routinely guarded big PGs like Arenas and Billups as well as opposition's best wing players, especially down the stretch and done a commendable job, and he has no equal when it comes to help/team defense. I would take Kidd as the third or fourth best defender at his position considering his overall impact on defense.
