Mel Daniels is an interesting case. Artis Gilmore proved himself in the NBA, and while not as dominate as he was in the ABA, he was still an excellent player. Mel Daniels however, only played 11 games in the NBA. I think he would have been an excellent NBA player too, but he certainly wouldn't have dominated the way he did in the ABA.
