How much can you frontload a contract?

This question arrives from the situation with Gerald Wallace and the CHarlotte bobcats. My guess is that he's going to get a contract between 10 and 12 million per year.I would assume that it's going to be four or five years. Now next year Charlotte is going to have an enormous amount of capspace.Even with two rookie contracts(picks 8 and 22)plus this deal they'd probably be very close to the minimum salary.Of course the year after next season will see a very large crop of high dollar FA's.

So I want to know what's the most that Charlotte could pay Gerald this coming season so that they would have the maximum cap flexibility to sign free agents next offseason(and in the succeeding years obviously)
