It will taste better than any protein shake you can get your hands on. Whole grain cabrohydrates, and low cholesterol protein. That's the key for success. Egg whites have NO cholesterol, since it's all in the yolk. You need a little meat, get some lean ham, or one or two strips of bacon (A little fat won't harm you) to throw with the egg whites on the whole wheat english muffin.

If you're trying to get protein in after a workout, an idea of mine is natural nut butters. However, there's nothing wrong with eating eggs twice a day either. I think they say Eggs are nature's food, there's a reason for it.
Egg whites are one of the better sources of protein. I eat 10 every morning (30 grams of protein) as part of an omelet. After a workout though, while not horrible, they aren't an ideal protein source because they are a whole food. Whole foods digest slower than something like a protein shake, which is liquid.

Your nut butter idea for a post workout meal isn't so great because of the high fat content. There's nothing wrong with the fat itself, as nuts/nut butters are one of the better sources of fat (which should comprise about 20-30% of your total calorie intake, by the way), but fat slows digestion, and that's the complete opposite of what you want to happen in the meal after your workout. You want nutrients to be absorbed by your body as quickly as possible, and fat would only slow it down.

Nuts/natural nut butters are great any other time of the day, though.
