The reason he didn't see extended playing time was because of hill and turk. They would rotate them along with ariza around the 2 and 3 spot. Now that Hill is gone and JJ is healthy and hasn't missed any offseason work outs, he should get playing time right away, barring any deals that brings JR over to Orlando ( ). He has impressed SVG during the offseason with his defensive play and i certainly see JJ coming off the bench and contributing regularly.

Exactly what I was saying. He wasn't a part of Brian Hill's rotation.
I can really see JJ as a potential 6th MAN OF THE YEAR. In the next few years, (maybe its me being a Magic fan) but he does have everything to become a great 6th man. Just run Reddick picks, he'll sink the shot off the screen every time. By being a 6th man, you cannot be undersized but just be great at your roll. JJ's role is purely to score, specially from the perimeter. His defensive game is also growing, which is great off the bench. Not to mention the energy he brings to a team, just look at his days in Duke.
