Bonuses

The published reports about the Brand signing talk about a signing bonus. I didn't think these were legal. What's up?

Denver will give Miller $14 million up front, including $10 million of which will be in the form of a signing bonus. The point guard will also receive 70 percent of his first year's salary by Oct. 15, ESPN's David Aldridge reported Wednesday
