Simply stated, the Lakers haven't done anything with Kobe Bryant. They are a mere afterthought in a powerhouse western conference that is dominated by teams that have legitimate forwards or centers like San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, Utah, and Houston. Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown, or Lamar Odom will never come close to even qualifying as an elite player at their position and the Lakers are a team with very few trading cogs. If the team's management can trade Bryant for a talent that they believe will be the next can't miss player at the four or five respectively and still get quality role players that they believe will be in the top eight in their position, then they would engage in those trade talks as it would more than likely lead to a greater success than what they would have now which, since Shaquille O'Neal has been traded, has amounted to one playoff round victory in three years; less than a 25 percent success rate. The logistics are actually pretty simple and were able to be done without a calculator.
On a separate note, ad hominem attacks don't bolster an argument; they only result in the attacker looking more and more like an imbecile every time he or she uses them.
