New Orleans Hornets (9-2) vs. Orlando Magic (9-2)
VS.
New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA
7:00pm CST
Preview
Jannero Pargo made sure New Orleans didn't miss Chris Paul much in its final matchup with the Orlando Magic last season. Pargo and his teammates are now overcoming their star point guard's absence quite nicely again.
With Paul expected to miss his second straight game with an ankle injury, the Hornets look for their first six-game winning streak during a single season in more than four years when they host the Magic on Monday night.
Thanks largely to the current five-game winning streak, New Orleans (9-2) is off to the best 11-game start in franchise history. The Hornets now have a chance to win six straight in a single season for the first time since an eight-game run Feb. 19-March 7, 2003.
"We're getting better and better and playing well right now," coach Byron Scott said. "Our No. 1 long-term goal is to go to the playoffs. Unless we do that, this fast start doesn't mean anything."
Scott's club figures to get a tough test Monday, as Southeast Division-leading Orlando (9-2) is the only other team in the NBA with nine wins.

I don't know if CP3 is playing or not. Scott said he'll probably sit for Monday and Wednesday's games but CP said he should be ready for tonight. If he doesn't go, Pargo will probably start in his place. I heard he's a game time decision but it's still early in the season and there's really no need for CP to rush anything right now. Dwight 'The Beast' 'Man Child' Howard comes to town so this should be a good one. Let's go Hornets!
