Re: Sixers in need of Big move
Weren't they near the bottom in attendance last year even when Iverson was here? A huge reason why people aren't coming to games are the ticket prices. Sixers have been making them more expensive when the team hasn't been winning. Combine that with a bad team and why would people show up? Also people don't trust Billy King and Ed Snider.
I agree with Aldridge that they can't just simply wait for free agency, but... Anderson Vareajao? First - Why would he come down off his $10 mill per demands for the Sixers and not the Cavs? Second - Who really believes he's worth anything more than $7 mill per?
Andre Miller has to go. Last season he was playing to up his trade value, and the Sixers were hoping to build off of their momentum last year. So here they are with a guy who's playing lackadaisical this year.
Perhaps the most disappointing thing about this season is Andre Iguodala not taking that next step as a player. To top it off he has some ludicrous contract demands. I'm a huge fan of the guy, but if he wants that type of money he can try to find it elsewhere.
One last thing.. would it really hurt to play Thad Young more minutes? He's raw but the team is terrible, might as well get him minutes now. He played well in the Dallas game (especially defensively) so why not give him consistent tick?
