You said Bryant's presence was hampering their development, and that he was still shot jacking. Reality is a completely different story. Admit it and move on.

Because you don't trade a superstar in his prime unless he's going to tank and be disgruntled the entire season. Kobe has done just the opposite this season, played his best D in years, same old demeanor in the press, a little better record this season. There's also the fact that he hasn't demanded a trade in months. Maybe he's in limbo, hard to tell. But you certainly don't trade him if you can't get back anything worthwhile. What if the Lakers are able to trade Lamar Odom for an actual impact 2-way player, like a healthy Jermaine O'Neal or something. Yeah, would be pretty dumb to trade Kobe then. Trades like that are certainly possible, especially if the Lakers parts with one younger player.
