IMHO, the Lakers have been refusing to trade Odom because they haven't seen a better second-banana player in the roster to make him expendable.

And i agree the almost certain fate of the Lakers this year is a first-and-out.

BUT if Bynum pans out (wich is a definite possibility) this year, then Odom is gone next summer.
