Rex Chapman probably had about the same athletic ability as Michael Jordan...but he wasn't nearly as good at playing basketball.Basketball is simply more important in African-American culture than it is elsewhere,especially in the inner cities where most players come from.In the forties some of the best basketball players were jewish,they were then living in the same sorts of areas.
