Hang in there, fellow Knick Fans, there is hope!

I dont post often and usually when I do it is concerning something negative (although dead on), but today I would like to shed a different light.

Right now the Knicks are as a low a franchise can go, no matter how good they looked versus the Cavs or how bad they looked against the Bobcats. People need to give up taking the daily temperature of this team,
the New York Knicks are plain out and simple A BAD BASKETBALL TEAM.

Now your saying, thankyou Captain Obvious, but despite the obvious statement there are still Knick fans showing up to games and putting hope in each Knick win (which are becoming even more few and far between). So really, it is not that obvious to plenty of Knick enthusiasts.
While on the road last night even I put on the game on 1050 radio to listen for a bit.

The bottom line is...

We stink. The management stinks, everything stinks.

But here's the positives.

Isiah will soon be gone, whether its next week, new month, or at the end of the season, he will not last.

Yes this season is lost, but with a team this bad we will have most likely a Top 5 draft pick, and this draft should be extremely deep if most of these prized Freshman choose to go one and done (and why wouldnt they?).
With a top pick we may find ourselves a franchise player that can turn around the recent losing ways of this organization.

Stephon Marbury and Malik Rose's expiring contracts going into next season. Thats a nice chunk of change coming off the books, and although it will not get us out of the luxury tax threshold we can either save a whole bunch of dough and take a step towards salary cap freedom or use them as potential trade chips.
Aslong as we dont trade them for more castoffs from losing teams, their exiring deals should prove to be very valuable.

Young talent (aka possible trade bait). David Lee is good. Not great, so all Knick fans should ease up, and yes I think he should start too, but let's be real, he's a very good role player. But to be honest I would do this. (Sure Ron is crazy but hey he plays with heart and if dont work out his contract is done with Marbury's, so even more cash off the books, The Kings meanwhile get a bonafide low post scorer to compliment their already efficient backcourt, and a hard nosed rebounder, both ingredients they need). Nate is fiery little guy, and hopefully can control himself a little more, but I wonder if something like this would work ( This one is far fetched, but both guys are hometown heroes and could help continue to revitalize the stay in Seattle Movement, while we get more guys who come off the books). The trade ideas might be crazy but the bottom line all of these guys are cheap, and all of these guys could be packaged with one of our less desirable pieces for some expiring deals or nice complimentary players.

Whoever the next General Managaer is, and god bless his soul, will have maybe the toughest rebuidling job in all of sports but it does not take a geniues to figure this group of guys does not work, and some guys will have to go. With alot of players, this could be addition by subtraction. There is no need for Curry and Randolph, there is no need for Q, period, and Jamal is relied upon way too much for victories (while being a wildy inconsistent player and inefficient player).

So yes Knick fans the next few years may seem a little dark, but from the bottom there is only 1 direction to go, and with a Top 5 pick, and some good trades, the process may not be too bad...
RIGHT?
