Line-Up Changes Loom, Curry and Randolph May Be Bench-Bound
Quote:
Thomas said he wanted to infuse "energy and intense guys in our lineup" for Wednesday's game at Orlando.
Lately, Curry and Randolph haven't fit into either category.
"We have to find ... a group that wants to consistently compete for 48 minutes," Thomas said after the last-place Knicks fell to 8-19.
Randolph didn't question any moves Thomas may make. He and Curry were subbed for David Lee and Malik Rose early in the second half.
"Sometimes change is good," said Curry, who scored eight points and grabbed just one rebound - a season low - all in the first half. "For some reason we're just not clicking right now and that second unit is getting us back in games, so (making changes are) obviously something we have to do."
Both Curry and Randolph have started every game they've suited up for this season. (Randolph missed three games when his grandmother died in November and Curry missed a game earlier this month with a sprained ankle.)
Randolph said he would welcome any move Thomas made "to help the team win," but Curry said it would be "a rough adjustment" to be a reserve. Curry has started 176 of 180 games as a Knick.
