I won't change my original statement about "elite," though, because to me elite are the best. They are guys who, at their positions, are clearly superior.

Like I said initially, it depends on how you define "elite." To me, he was top 20 certainly in 2002, and top 25 in 2003. That's in the top 6-8% of the players in the NBA. But no, I agree that he wasn't top 10 in any of those seasons, nor was he the best at his position or for wing players in general.
